SR 704 - Cross Base Highway, Spanaway

Project Description
When completed this project will provide a direct east-west highway connecting I-5 and SR 7. The Cross-Base Highway will be a new six mile, four lane limited access highway with four signalized intersections and two new interchanges.

This project not yet advertised or awarded

Recent Progress
Pierce County is the lead agency on this project until completion of the environmental documentation, with a  Record of Decision expected late June 2004.  WSDOT is currently information gathering and work planning to prepare to lead the project into the Design Phase after the Environmental Documention is complete.
