SR 6 - South Fork Chehalis River Bridge Replacement

Project Description
The existing bridge is rated as structurally deficient and in need of replacement. It is too narrow for passing trucks to travel on the bridge at the same time.

Contractor/Consultant

Recent Progress
The project team has addressed all of the current design issues and is working on assembling the final contract plans.

Design Construction Impacts
The new bridge will be constructed north of the existing bridge to reduce traffic impacts.  The design team is working on staging to eliminate the need to use signalized one-way traffic control.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
Currently updating permits.

Impacts to Traffic
During construction there will be single lane closures with flaggers.
