SR 6 - South Fork Chehalis River Bridge Replacement

Project Description
The existing bridge is rated as structurally deficient and in need of replacement. It is too narrow for passing trucks to travel on the bridge at the same time.

Contractor/Consultant
Scarsella Brothers Inc.

Recent Progress
Scarsella Brothers Inc. has started roughing in the new alignment while their sub-contractors works on the new structure.  They have finished the foundations for all of the piers and are working on the columns.

Design Construction Impacts
The new bridge will be constructed north of the existing bridge to reduce traffic impacts.  Scarsella Brothers Inc. is stagging their work to minimize inpacts to the traveling public.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
Environmental permits are completed.

Impacts to Traffic
During construction, there will be single lane closures with flaggers.
