We will remove the existing pipe culvert at Cougar Creek on SR 531 near Arlington and replace it with a concrete box culvert. Crews will also rebuild the roadway above the culvert. The new culvert will help stabilize the roadway, protect against future storms, and improve fish passage on Cougar Creek.
We'll close SR 531 between 11th Avenue NE and McRae Road NW on Monday, October 12 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Local access will be allowed, but all other drivers must follow a detour using 11th Avenue NE, 45 Road and McRae Road NW.
