For current photos of the project, visit our Flickr page.SR 529 Ebey Slough Bridge - The current bridge is over 80 years old and is at the end of its design life. The bridge "swings" open to allow boat traffic to travel along the Ebey Slough. The Ebey Slough Bridge almost completely open to allow boat traffic through.Traffic backs up along SR 529 while bridge is open to allow boat traffic through. The new "fixed" bridge will have a higher clearance to allow boats through without interrupting traffic. When fully open, the existing bridge rests along a fixed structure constructed in the Ebey Slough. This photo shows the "rests" at low tide. We will remove the structure in order to improve boats' access to the marina in Marysville. The existing bridge as seen from the Marysville shoreline. The City of Marysville has completed several waterfront improvement projects in recent years.
