SR 527 - 132nd St. SE to 112th St. SE - Photos

In May we opened all five freshly-paved lanes of SR 527 to drivers.  The new lanes complete an almost twelve-mile long corridor widening project between I-5 and I-405.  Drivers now have a safer, less-congested highway.

Here are some recent photos of the newly widened SR 527:

We constructed an additional lane in each direction from 132nd Street SE to 112th Street SE with a two-way left-turn lane between Mill Creek and Everett.

This project doubles the capacity of SR 527 between Everett and Mill Creek.

We also installed new culverts and detention ponds to help reduce erosion and roadway flooding.

Two-thirds of the funding for this $28.9 million project came from the 2003 Gas Tax (Nickel Funding).

Roadside improvements along SR 527
We worked closely with Snohomish County and local cities to minimize traffic delays and disruptions to the community.  We also widened SR 527 from 164th Street SE to 132nd Street SE.
