Overview
This project improved SR 522 between SR 9 and Paradise Lake Road by doubling the number of lanes, installing a median barrier, and extending the on-ramps and exits at SR 9.
 | Improves Safety
With median barriers now in place, drivers no longer have to worry about dangerous head-on collisions on this stretch of road. Drivers also have more distance to get on and off the highway with the extended ramps at the SR 9 and SR 522 interchange, reducing the possibility of collisions.
|
 | Relieves Congestion
The doubled capacity increases traffic flow and cuts down on drive times and driver frustration.
|
 | Protects Environment
When this project was active, three water-quality treatment-ponds filtered construction runoff. Now these ponds are treating stormwater runoff.
