Design Construction Impacts
-The design requires the construction of a new bridge, widening of an existing bridge and construction of an 85 foot tall retaining wall adjacent to the new campus entrance road. This project will also require closure of the bike/ pedestrian path under existing I-405 SB to WB SR-522 ramp for the widening of this bridge, along North Creek. A detour route has been selected and submitted for approval.

|
Environmental Impacts / Compliance
-The project wetland impacts are approximately 0.42 acres. Wetland mitigation is planned to be from the existing North Creek Floodplain/wetland mitigation site previously constructed by the college. -Water quality facilities are planned to be located within the existing right of way. Detention is not required for the Sammamish River. A detention vault is being provided for the North Creek basin.

Impacts to Traffic
Construction of the project will require closures of the I-405 ramps and single lane closures on SR 522 during the off peak hours to provide a safe work zone to construct the new alignment for SR 522. North Creek Trail will be closed for a maximum period of 90 days.
