SR 520 Bridge Replacement and HOV Program

Crews successfully floated out the newest six built in Aberdeen from their casting basin into Grays Harbor. The float out took place late into to the night to align with favorable tidal conditions. These six pontoons will be inspected and stored until they travel to Lake Washington to support the new floating bridge. Check out more photos of the float-out on Flickr.

Building a new and improved SR 520 corridor

The SR 520 Bridge Replacement and HOV Program will enhance safety by replacing the aging floating bridge and keep the region moving with vital transit and roadway improvements throughout the corridor.

The 12.8-mile highway begins at I-5 in Seattle and extends to SR 202 in Redmond.
