Open Houses

 Project staff welcomes visitors.  Visitors learn about the project.  An SR 520 Project engineer answers a visitor’s question.  Project design staff member updates visitors on Eastside corridor design.  WSDOT hosts open houses to meet the public and share ideas about the project  Colorful and informative displays help visitors learn more about how the SR 520 Project could affect their neighborhoods.

Fairs and Festivals

Bridge Tour

 SR 520 Project Director Ron Paananen explains the condition of the SR 520 Bridge.  Tour attendees gather near the mid-span of the floating bridge deck.  SR 520 Project staff explains how quieter pavement works.  A guest descends the narrow staircase to the lower deck of the bridge.  WSDOT bridge crew leads a group of visitors on a lower-deck tour, beneath the western high-rise.
