Medina to SR 202: Eastside Transit and HOV Project – Environmental Documents

The Eastside Transit and HOV Project made significant improvements to SR 520's 2.5-mile segment between Lake Washington and I-405, including new HOV lanes, median transit stops, direct-access ramps for buses and carpools, and the first completed portion of a new, regional cross-lake bicycle and pedestrian path.

Below are links to key environmental documents that preceded the construction of these improvements.

July 13, 2011 — Points Loop Trail relocation

WSDOT relocated a portion of the Points Loop Trail from the north side of SR 520 to the south side between Evergreen Point Road and 84th Avenue Northeast. The change came in response to requests from local jurisdictions and to comply with local and state permit requirements for this project.

May 21, 2010 — Finding of No Significant Impact

Based on a project environmental assessment and public comment, the Federal Highway Administration issued a finding of no significant impact (FONSI) on May 21, 2010.

Updated Environmental Assessment

The following exhibits from the Noise Technical Memorandum were updated in July 2010. The updates were clerical and did not affect the conclusions published in the FONSI.
