Deteriorating pavement on SR 518
Pavement on SR 518 in Tukwila was deteriorating rapidly and needed a facelift. See more photos.

WSDOT contractor crews repaved a section of SR 518 from 24th Avenue S. to the I-5 interchange after the pavement showed signs of wear.

The deep wheel ruts and cracked pavement are now gone, replaced with new pavement which will extend the life of the highway as well as give drivers a smoother and safer trip.

The ramps in the project area were also repaved for a smoother transition from one highway to another.
