SR 515 - SE 192nd Street to Benson Road: Access and Asphalt

Quarterly Project Report Update for Quarter Ending March 2007

Project Title & Location
SR 515 - SE 192nd Street to Benson Road: Paving and Channelization

Project Description

Contractor/Consultant

Recent Progress
AD date reschedule from March 6, 2007 to August 6, 2007 because of conflicts with utilities on existing easements. These easements weren't discovered until Feb 2007. Submitted PCRF on March 11, 2007.

Design Construction Impacts
There are substantial utility conflicts, and the utilities have been notified. However, PSE and Soos Creek Water and Sewer have existing easements on the property that is being acquired for this project. The design team was not aware of these easements until Feb. 2007. In addition, the design team discovered that Soos Creek has easements on several parcels along the east side of the roadway within agency R/W. These easements were not bought out when WSDOT widened its R/W in the early 1970s. There is a design conflict between proposed drainage and existing sewer, so the design team is conferring with hydraulics to find an acceptable redesign so that the sewer doesn't have to be moved.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
This project is not expected to adversely impact the environment.

Impacts to Traffic
