Recent Progress
WSDOT has conducted two open house meetings and one public meeting to share information and gather comments and input. The design team is in the process of measuring the pro's and con's for various alternative alignments, which will be shared at the next Open House on May 9th, 2007.

Design Construction Impacts
While it is too early in project development to determine the exact magnitude, the size and complexity of the project clearly indicates there will be property impacts and business impacts.  Known risks are property acquisitions and wetland impacts.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
WSDOT has started the necessary environmental study for this project. This study will detail the project's direct and indirect environmental impacts (natural, ecological, societal and economic) in order to guide final design and construction.
