Project Description
Increase capacity and safety of SR 502 between NE 10th Ave and Battle Ground by increasing the number of travel lanes from two to four, installing median barrier, signalizing intersections, and establishing limited access control.

Project is not yet advertised or awarded.

Recent Progress

This project is currently in the early design phase.  WSDOT received $15 million for this project from the Washington State Legislature's 2003 Transportation Funding Package.  The environmental process and project design begins in the 2003-2005 biennium.  The construction phase of this project is not funded.

While it is too early in project development to determine the exact magnitude, the size and complexity of the project clearly indicates there will be significant impacts.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
The necessary environmental study for this project has not yet been conducted. This study will detail the project's direct and indirect environmental impacts (natural, ecological, societal and economic) in order to guide final design and construction.

No issues at this time.
