SR 502 Widening from I-5 to Battle Ground - Clark County

Project Description
Increase capacity and safety of SR 502 between NE 10th Ave and Battle Ground by increasing the number of travel lanes from two to four, installing median barrier, signalizing intersections, and establishing limited access control.

Project is not yet advertised or awarded.

Recent Progress
WSDOT is developing the project purpose and need as well as goals and objectives.  The project team is beginning alternative alignment development in preparation for an environmental assessment for this project  Corridor traffic studies are in progress.  Public involvement will be a key portion of this project and WSDOT is currently developing a public involvement plan. 

Design Construction Impacts
While it is too early in project development to determine the exact magnitude, the size and complexity of the project clearly indicates there will be property impacts and business impacts.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
WSDOT has started the necessary environmental study for this project, but it is not yet complete. This study will detail the project's direct and indirect environmental impacts (natural, ecological, societal and economic) in order to guide final design and construction.

Impacts to Traffic
No issues at this time.
