Project Description
This new interchange, connecting I-5 to State Route 502, will reduce congestion, improve safety and provide more direct access from Interstate 5 to north Clark County and Battle Ground.

Recent Progress
This project is currently in the design phase. Traffic, design and environmental technical reports are currently being completed in order to proceed with the further screening, evaluation and selection of a preferred location and layout of the interchange. A public meeting will be held on March 25, 2004 at Battle Ground High School.

Design Construction Impacts
Right of way acquisition, geotechnical uncertainty and storm water treatment have been identified as potential risk items. The project team is developing a risk management plan to minimize impacts to the scope, schedule and budget.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
Parsons, Brinkerhoff, Quade & Douglas, a consultant to WSDOT, began the environmental documentation process.
