Recent Progress
This project is in the design phase. Traffic, design and environmental technical reports are currently being completed in order to submit the Environmental Analysis for agency review. Right-of-way and access plans are being updated in preparation for an Access Hearing in early 2005. A public meeting was held on March 25, 2004 at Battle Ground High School, which allowed the public to review the recommended build alternative. WSDOT continues contact with property owners from whom WSDOT may purchase right of way. Also, in June WSDOT met with business owners from Duluth to listen to their concerns.

Design Construction Impacts
Right of way acquisition, geotechnical uncertainty and storm water treatment have been identified as potential risk items. The project team is developing a risk management plan to minimize impacts to the scope, schedule and budget.
