SR 500 - I-205 Interchange Improvements - Complete June 2008

Overview
Increasing traffic volumes, in conjunction with a short merge lane on westbound SR 500, created a high congestion area, which led to the potential for more collisions.

This project made improvements to westbound SR 500 in the vicinity of the I-205 Interchange to improve safety and reduce congestion. The improvements lengthened the merge lane beyond the interchange area to reduce the risk of accidents.
