Project Description
This project is a mobility improvement and pavement preservation project. Mobility improvement includes the addition of two HOV lanes and intersection upgrades to increase traffic capacity. Pavement preservation consists of overlaying the roadway with HMA. A secondary benefit is the project eliminates 8 fish barrier culverts.

Stan Palmer Construction, Inc. was awarded this contract on 6/19/06.

Recent Progress
Minimal construction work is taking place this winter. Maintenance of BMPs and water quality monitoring are on-going items. The new HOV lanes were opened to traffic on 1/28/08.

Design Construction Impacts
The project is 80% complete. All erosion control measures are in place for the winter shutdown.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
The site is stabilized for the winter. Water quality monitoring and weekly site inspections are on-going.

Impacts to Traffic
All HOV and general purpose lanes are open to traffic. Paint striping was installed for high visibility and durability through the winter.
