Each of the proposed alternatives is being studied in detail as part of the current NEPA environmental study. An alternative will be chosen once the study is complete.
A two-stage alternative screening process was used to evaluate a broad range of alternatives that were identified in the 1993 study and during the 2007 public process. WSDOT hosted two public meetings in October 2008 and a scoping open house in January 2009 where attendees talked with project staff, viewed displays about corridor alternatives and shared their comments.
Additional information about the study can be viewed by going to the Study Library web page.
Alternatives recommended for study in the EIS:
Note: Alternative 5 and 6 to be combined for upcoming screening process because of their proximity to each other and given the scale of the current analysis.
