SR 291 RDP - Public Involvement

Open Houses
Three Open Houses are scheduled for April, 2006 to gather interested citizens input on the preliminary solutions for SR 291 route.  They have been scheduled for three different areas of the highway to give all citizens the most convenient access.  A newsletter and open house invitation has been mailed to all citizens that previously requested to recieve further information.

Advisory Group
The Advisory Group is comprised of representatives from Spokane County, Stevens County, City of Spokane as well as several neighborhood associations.  The Advisory Group will be giving feedback not just on substantive issues in the study, but also on the public involvement plan and the process used to develop the study.

Listening Posts
Listening Posts are designed to provide one-to-one interaction between WSDOT and interested citizens.  There were four Listening Posts hosted in the last two weeks of August, 2004.  See the August 2004 Listening Post Invitation Mailer for more details.

Community Meetings
The RDP Team has been attending local citizen meetings to explain the ongoing process and provide an opportunity for input.  If you would like an RDP team member to speak to your group that is interested in the future development of SR 291, please contact Richard Schilling at 324-6000.
