Recent Progress
Design work continues. An open house was held April 29, 2009. The design team spoke with many local business owners and other interested citizens. The design is also working with the City of Wenatchee on drainage facility design which will ultimately be maintained by them. R/W Plan Approval, NEPA, and Design Approval are scheduled to be completed in June 2009.

Design Construction Impacts
Numerous parcels will be affected by this project.  The extent of the impact will be determined as the design moves ahead.  The right of way process will begin in the spring of 2009.  The community and local agencies will continue to be an integral part of our development process.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
Under NEPA guidelines, the project has been categorized as a Documented CE (Categorical Exclusion).  The Draft Environmental Classification Summary has been completed.

Impacts to Traffic
Traffic will be impacted on both SR 285 and the local street system.  Lane closures can be anticipated.  Traffic control plans will be developed as the design progresses.
