Recent Progress
Project was advertised 1/26/09.  A pre-bid meeting was held 2/11/09.  Bid opening is scheduled for 3/19/09.

Design Construction Impacts
We are investigating the staging requirements between this project and the projects at either end of the bridge.  This project will be a two season project.  Significant coordination with BNSF will be required while constructing the walkway over the railroad.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
The Sellar Bridge is on the national historic register.  A 4f style process at the State level has been conducted with DAHP (SHPO) to assess needed bridge modifications.  A hydraulics permit and shorelines permit will also be required.

Impacts to Traffic
This project will heavily impact commuter traffic.  The region is planning to use night shifts to minimize construction impacts to the traveling public.
