Construction began June 1st and was completed on June 19, 2009. This Collision Prevention project began west of Othello on SR 26 near the Grant County line and extended 21.5 miles east. This safety improvement project included installation of rumble strips and guardrail as well as removal of roadside hazards.
Rumble strips and guardrail reduce the number and severity of run-off-the-road collisions on this busy route to Washington State University.
