Rattlesnake Hills Vic.-Roadside Safety

Project Description
This project improves 14 miles of SR 241 from just north of Sunnyside (MP 10) and continuing north to near the junction with SR 24 (MP 24). The project will realign two s-curves just south of the SR 241/SR 24 junction and update guardrail and signing throughout the project limits.

Contractor/Consultant
Project not yet been awarded.

Recent Progress
The project was advertised on November 13 and bids will be opened on December 12.  Federal Bureau of Land Management permitting isses were the reason for the delayed advertisement date.

Design Construction Impacts
Blasting will be required to remove the rock for the new alignment. 

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
The Biological Assessment, SEPA-Determination of Non-Significance, Cultural Resource Study and the Botanical Plant Survey Report are all completed.

Impacts to Traffic
This project will be staged to minimize impacts to traffic.  One lane flagger contolled traffic will be utilized as necessary.
