Recent Progress
Accident history has been reviewed and an alternative design that changes the scope of the project has been developed that would improve safety for 18 miles by widening the narrow roadway to 12 ft lanes and 8 ft shoulders with rumble strips.  A decision will be made later in the spring of 2007 in regards to the proposed scope change.  Surveying continues as crews began collecting topographical information in September.  The current project schedule and related confidence report pertain to the original scope of work.  If scope change is approved, the project schedule and confidence report will be updated to reflect that.
