SR 240 - Beloit Rd to Kingsgate Way - Widen Roadway

Project Description
The section of SR 240 from Beloit Road to Kingsgate Way has experienced a number of serious collisions. Widening the roadway to 12 ft lanes with 8 ft shoulders will improve the safety of the highway and provide more recovery area.

Recent Progress
The project was awarded to IMCO Inc on March 3rd, 2009 and work will start in late April.

Design Construction Impacts
Construction is moving along with no impacts to the completion date at this time.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
We are in compliance with all our environmental permits and have had cultural monitoring on the job when doing work in sensitive areas. We are working with the tribes to insure we do not impact their sensitive areas.

Impacts to Traffic
Traffic will be alternating one-way to build up the shoulders but will only be in a two mile section at a time.
