Project Description
The section of SR 240 from Beloit Road to Kingsgate Way has experienced a number of serious collisions. Widening the roadway to 12 ft lanes with 8 ft shoulders will improve the safety of the highway and provide more recovery area.

Recent Progress
Accident History has been reviewed and an alternative design that changes the scope of the project has been developed that would improve safety for 18 miles by widening the narrow roadway to 12 ft lanes and 8 ft shoulders with rumble strips.  This alternative has been approved by the Legislature during the current legislative session.  The survey crews have completed the topographical survey work and the design team has begun utilizing the data.
