SR 24 - SR 241 to Cold Creek Road - Add Passing Lanes

Project Description
This project will construct a passing lane uphill in both directions on SR 24 between SR 241 and Cold Creek Road. Constructing a passing lane will improve safety, reduce collisions, and increase traffic mobility.

Contractor/Consultant

Recent Progress
The contract plans and specifications are 100% complete.  Right of Way negotiations were completed November 2007. 

Design Construction Impacts
The project advertisement date is December 10, 2007. Bid Opening is January 9, 2008. Construction is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2008 and should complete in October 2008.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
No impacts are anticipated at this time.

Impacts to Traffic
One lane closures with flaggers are anticipated.  No detours will be required for this project.
