Project Title & Location
SR 22/ I-82 to McDonald Rd - Widen Roadway

Project Description
This section of SR 22 has experienced a number of collisions. This project will improve safety by widening the roadway, flattening roadside slopes, upgrading guardrail, adding sidewalks and constructing intersection improvements on SR 22 from the Yakima River Slough Bridge to Toppenish.

Contractor/Consultant
Project has not been advertised or awarded.

Recent Progress
Received the survey data and have now started preliminary engineering.

Design Construction Impacts
None anticipated at this time. The need to change the scope of the project is being reviewed by the Legislature.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
Working within a flood plain and over the Yakima River.

Impacts to Traffic
One lane closures are anticipated.
