Thirty-nine collisions occurred at the intersection of SR 202 (Fall City Snoqualmie Road) and SR 203 between 1996 and 2001. WSDOT designed and built a new modern roundabout which is expected to enhance safety and help reduce congestion, particularly for drivers turning left.
Drivers now have better visibility and the ability to turn without risking a serious sideswipe or head-on collision. Pedestrian safety also is expected to improve with the addition of new sidewalks.
Drivers no longer have to wait long periods to make a left turn at the intersection. They also will not have to wait for a traffic light.

Partnerships & Cooperation
At WSDOT we seek to address the concerns of the tribal nations using the process outlined in Section 106 of The National Historic Preservation Act and the WSDOT Tribal Consultation Policy adopted in 2003 by the Transportation Commission as part of the WSDOT Centennial Accord Plan.
WSDOT initiated Section 106 consultation with the Snoqualmie, Tulalip, Yakama, Duwamish and Samish Tribes. Follow up calls were made to each tribe to invite them to comment on the Cultural Resource Survey produced as part of the project.
