Project location map: WSDOT will widen approximately 5 miles of State
Route 20 from two to four lanes between State Route 536 and Interstate 5
in Burlington. The project has been broken into two stages. Stage one
construction will begin spring 2007 and will be completed in summer 2008.
Stage two will begin spring 2008 and will be completed fall 2009.
This map shows how the new interchange will be configured. When
construction is complete the southbound I-5 on-ramp and exit will be
elevated over Nevitt Road and will connect to SR 20 at the relocated
Peterson Road. Access to SR 20 from Goldenrod Road will be closed off and
the traffic signal will be removed.
