 April 2007 - We are drilling the shafts that will support new bridges. Once drilled, we will fill them with rebar (steel bar) cages and concrete for strength.

 April, 2007 - Trucks bring in some of the 70,000 cubic yards of dirt and 46,000 tons of crushed rock needed to build the base for the new roadway. |
 April, 2007 - We are realigning sections of Higgins Slough to accomodate the new roadway. |
 June, 2007 - A worker monitors drilling of more bridge support shafts.

 June, 2007 - Crews prepare to lift a section of rebar into the predrilled shaft. |
 June, 2007 - The rebar is lowered into the shaft where it will be incased in concrete.

 July, 2007 - Crews tow a bridge girder into position. |
 July, 2007 - The girder is slowly lowered into it's final position.

 August, 2007 - The bridge deck has been poured and crews are working to build the rail on each side. |
 August, 2007 - Trucks line up to deliver asphalt to the crews that are laying and compacting the fresh pavement. |
 August, 2007 - Two crews work together to churn out the new asphalt. They will apply two layers now, and two layers when the job nears completion. |
