- Awarded to Aztech Electric of Spokane with a construction bid of: $162,565.
- Construction should start shortly.
This project would install three perrmanent Highway Advisory Radio stations. Two on SR 20/Sherman Pass and one on US 395 at Hatton Coulee.
The two Sherman Pass radio stations will replace existing, trailer-mounted, portable stations.
Why is WSDOT
installing these stations?
Highway Advisory Radio stations can provide drivers with detailed information on road and weather conditions ahead.
The End Result
These stations will broadcast information when needed and be added to the statewide network of HAR's, cameras, and weather stations. The Sherman Pass stations will now be available year-round.

Advance notice of changing conditions enables motorists to be better prepared in their travels.
