Quiet Cove Road Vicinity to SR 20 Spur Vicinity. SR 20 in rural Skagit County near Lake Campbell.

Project Description
This project will construct safety improvements along SR 20 by grading and widening. Left turn lanes will be constructed at Lunz/Deception Road. A new bridge will be constructed over Meadow Creek to accommodate the left turn lanes and provide fish passage.

Recent Progress
· Exploration plan for materials testing is complete.
· Rights to enter are being obtained.
· We are now considering several wetland mitigation sites.

Design Construction Impacts
· We are considering building retaining walls to minimize impacts this project
will have on property owners in large cut areas and on forrested wetlands.
· One vertical curve realignment may require controlled blasting and it could impact
one residence.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
We will try and avoid impacting possible wetland locations. To mitigate impacted wetlands we will create new wetlands. We will adhere to permit requirements.

Impacts to Traffic
Significant impacts will occur when construction takes place in the summer of 2007 and 2008 · There will be a public information campaign to alert the public to future traffic impacts.
