
February 2006 - Crews have excavated a new stream channel for the realigned section of Taylor Creek. We are realigning the creek so it can flow underneath the new bridges over SR 169.

February 2006 - The wetland we are creating near 200th is turning green. Scroll down the page to see what it looked like last fall.

October 2005 -- Scattered wood piles at a wetland mitigation site just south of the 244th Avenue SE interchange.

July 2005 - Piles of woody debris dot the landscape at the site of a future wetland on the north side of SR 18 near SE 200th. We are creating the wetland to compensate for wetlands lost during construction.

October 2004 - Rainwater runoff from SR 18 will drain into this detention pond under construction at the 244th interchange site. The pond will remove pollutants and sediment before the water is released. The green color on the pond slopes is the result of grass seeding to prevent erosion.

October 2004 - Crews are building this detention pond just north and east of the westbound bridge over the Cedar River.

October 2004 - Crews planted grass on this hillside just east of the 200th Street to stabilize the slope and prevent erosion.
