Recent Progress
This project was initiated in July 1993. Total expenditures as of July 2003 are $1.73m, as shown as the start of the expenditure graph below. Currently the PE and R/W phases are funded and the CN is funded through the 2005 Legislation. The project completed an in-house office review June, 2003 and the Design Documentation Package was approved March 4, 2004. Constructability review with HQ Construction was completed in March 2004.

Design Construction Impacts
Construction activities will require close coordination with the City of Moses Lake, utility companies, local merchants, schools, and emergency services.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
There are two parcels which are potential problems. One is an abandoned gas station, where there is one remaining in-ground oil tank. The other is an abandoned house with the possibility of asbestos contamination. NEPA: Documented CE SEPA: Determination of Non-Significance JARPA application has been submitted

Impacts to Traffic
Two-way traffic will be allowed to flow through most of the construction. The interchange ramps will be closed during ramp re-construction for a minimal amount of time. A total of 160 working days are estimated.
