Recent Progress
This project was initiated in July 1993. Total expenditures as of March 2006 are $1.87m, as shown as the start of the expenditure graph below. Currently the PE and R/W phases are funded and the CN is funded through the 2005 Legislation. An in-house office review was completed June, 2003 and the Design Documentation Package was approved March 4, 2004. A Plans In Hand meeting was held March 6th-10th.

Design Construction Impacts
Construction activities will require close coordination with the City of Moses Lake, utility companies, local merchants, schools, and emergency services.

Environmental Impacts / Compliance
There are two parcels which are potential problems. One is an abandoned gas station, where there is one remaining in-ground oil tank and two hydraulic lifts. The other is an abandoned house with the possibility of asbestos contamination.

Impacts to Traffic
Two-way traffic will be allowed to flow through most of the construction. The interchange ramps will be closed during ramp re-construction for a minimal amount of time. This project will be constructed in two seasons.
