Project Description
The overall project will widen SR 167 between S. 180th Street and SR 18. The project will add one general purpose lane in each direction from S. 180th St. to the the vicinity of King/Pierce County line. The project is currently funded to complete the environmental review.

Recent Progress

Recently completed CEVP considering three scenarios: 1 lane in each direction with minimal interchange improvements, bottleneck projects and HOV lane completion.

$750,000 was advanced in the supplemental budget to begin work on the EIS.  EIS  is funded in the Nickel Package in 05-07.

WSDOT staff  identified potential increase of  wetland buffer regulations proposed by DOE, the Army Corp of Engineers and growth management regulations.  WSDOT staff has been working with local jurisdictions to update waterland information.  We uncovered that King County wetland data is nearly 20 years old.
