SR 167 Extension project has acquired more than 75 properties along the corridor

WSDOT has purchased more than 75 properties for the SR 167 Extension project. These properties represent more than 30 percent of the corridor needed for the highway. Since the last e-mail update at the end of November 2007, the project purchased five new properties.

What are the next steps for the SR 167 Extension?

The project is primarily focused on purchasing as much right of way as possible to preserve the corridor for future construction. We continue to develop the design with a focus on coordination with local agencies and jurisdictions, while providing up-to-date information to the public and elected officials.

Look for us in your community this summer

Last summer we met with more than 1,400 individuals at local community events like the Puyallup Farmers’ Market and Fife’s Harvest Festival. We are already planning our events for this year. Please check the Web site in the coming months for dates and times of events in your community. If there is a specific event in your community that you would like us to attend, please let us know.
