Project Description
This project will reduce the number and severity of accidents by realigning the curve and widening the lane and shoulder widths.

Contractor/Consultant
Transtate Paving Co.

Recent Progress

Construction began on this project with the removal of existing asphalt roadway on March 16, 2004.   The twenty working days for this project ended on April 12, 2004.  The project was completed and opened to traffic on April 8 with four working days unused. The final contract amount was $145,582, an overrun of $3,182 or 2 percent of the original contract amount of $142, 400.  This project has been nominated for a 2004 Construction Project Highlights Report.

Contract has been completed.

All environmental documents complete; no permits required.

Impacts to Traffic
Project is completed and open to traffic.  During construction, both lanes  traveled on unpaved section of roadway for two weeks.
