Design Construction Impacts
The construction phase of the project will be administered by WSDOT. The contractor will begin work in late June 2005. The SR 106 closure and detour in the vicinity of the bridge work will be implemented after the July 4th holiday.

|
Environmental Impacts / Compliance
Environmental permitting for the project requires that creek restoration work occurring in the Skobob Creek channel be completed between July 15 and September 15. This requirement ensures that during this period migrating fish will not be impacted by construction of the project. In addition temporary erosion, sediment, and spill control measures are included in the project.

Impacts to Traffic
SR 106 in the vicinity of the Skobob Creek crossing will close during the bridge construction. Detour routes will be provided. Local access in the vicinity of the bridge construction will be allowed. A comprehensive public awareness campaign will be used to alert the public of the closure.
