Construction Work at the Bridge Site
West-half Widening
Part of the Hood Canal Bridge Rehabilitation Program's objectives include widening the roadway on the west-half of the bridge. The widening work on the south side of the bridge was completed between April-September 2004. Work halted during the winter storm closure window from October through February. In March 2005, work to widen the north side of the west-half began. This work will be completed by November 2005. There are 24 photos in this section.
