Media Kit for May-June 2009 Closure
The Hood Canal Bridge's extreme makeover is moving forward. Every section of the bridge, from the east and to the west, will be improved, upgraded or replaced when the project is complete.
The next milestone is replacing the east-half floating section, the east and west transition spans and the east-half draw span. This will be accomplished during the six-week bridge closure in May-June 2009 when the old sections are cut away and the new sections are floated into position, cabled together and anchored into place.
