Overview
We repaved State Route 104 between 244th St SW and 22nd Ave NE, resurfaced the road between 244th Street SW and NE 190th Street, and repaired pavement at the intersection of SR 104 and SR 99.
 | Improves Safety
New pavement will improve driver safety by eliminating cracks, potholes and rough patches, providing a more consistent driving surface. New lighting, pavement markings, guardrails and signs will also improve safety for drivers and pedestrians.

 | Economic Incentive
Repaving sections of SR 104 will reduce the need for costly and inconvenient repairs that were previously needed to fix the old, damaged road surface.

Partnerships & Cooperation
We awarded the contract for this project to the most competitive bidder, Rinker Materials of Everett. Crews began work in May 2007 and completed the project in June 2008.
This project does not affect tribal resources. At WSDOT we seek to address the concerns of the tribal nations using the process outlined in Section 106 of The National Historic Preservation Act and the WSDOT Tribal Consultation Policy adopted in 2003 by the Transportation Commission as part of the WSDOT Centennial Accord Plan.
