More than 100 trains per day pass through the Vancouver rail yard, which serves as a major hub for freight and passenger trains. This project will reduce congestion, increase safety, and help Amtrak’s on-time performance. New bypass tracks in the rail yard will also allow passenger trains to bypass freight congestion at the Vancouver rail yard.
