Port of Columbia/Wallula to Dayton - Track Rehabilitation, Columbia County, WA

Project Description
Rehabilitates the 69-mile line from Wallula to Dayton and spur tracks. Allows for continued operation of the line that serves rail dependent shippers in Columbia & Walla Walla Counties.

HDR, Inc. and URS Corporation

Recent Progress
WSDOT has developed an investment plan for these funds and the funds available for the Dayton Yard Rehabilitation project.  The first phase of this investment plan includes replacement of several public crossings in Dayton.  This work is expected to be completed by June 2009.  The balance of the funds will be expended in the 2009-2011 and 2011-2013 biennia.

Impacts to Traffic
The crossing work in Dayton may cause some periodic delays to vehicular traffic.
