Project Description
Rehabilitates the 69-mile line from Wallula to Dayton and spur tracks. Allows for continued operation of the line that serves rail dependent shippers in Columbia & Walla Walla Counties.

Recent Progress
In September, WSDOT met with representatives from the ports of Walla Walla and Columbia to discuss development of a new expenditure plan for these funds and the $270,000 available for the Dayton Yard Rehabilitation Project. The proposed expenditure plan will be shared with the ports, railroads, the Governor’s Office, the legislature, and the public in early 2008.
