Exterior rehabilitation of the recently relocated Morton Depot will contribute to the revitalization of downtown Morton.

Tacoma Rail, Tacoma, WA

Recent Progress
The historic Morton Depot exterior rehabilitation is underway and nearing completion.  Design work for the railroad track rehabilitation has begun.

Design Construction Impacts
None are anticipated, as the track work is basic rehabilitation, with exception of one railroad bridge trestle which will be strengthened during this project.  Since the trestle is accessible only from the railroad, there will be no construction impacts to local roadway infrastructure.

None are anticipated.

Impacts to Traffic
Depot rehabilitation will require work vehicles to access the site in downtown Morton.
